Job description



Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of Maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Inventory Control Specialist for our Savannah, GA location.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and package any items received within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Performs the inventory counts in the designated warehouse locations daily.
  • Daily cycle count
  • Walks to area of warehouse designated for counting.
  • Verifies product is correct and counts all parts at the primary location.
  • Enters the counted quantities in the scanner and recounts anything that shows a variance.
  • Assumes any special responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or D.C. Manager.
  • Records and distributes clear and concise messages to internal staff.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • This position requires the ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.
  • This position requires some computer literacy.
  • This position requires the utmost accuracy.
  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing sixty (60) pounds floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to overhead.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently walk and stand on concrete floors.
  • This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time working on a computer.
  • This position requires the ability to do occasional neck flexions, extensions and twisting while sitting, standing or squatting.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back.
  • This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects.
  • This position requires the ability to climb, squat and reach overhead to gain access to higher and lower shelves

Additional information:

Hours: Monday thru Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm

Rate: $18 per hour with opportunity for monthly bonuses
