Job summary

The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain data integrity across three campus-wide inventory systems. The role focuses on ensuring accurate equipment data, processing purchase requests, and supporting reporting and audits.

The position requires strong attention to detail, experience with inventory processes, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments. This is a full-time on-campus role based in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Three years of related work experience preferred.
• Must maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all campus-wide purchase orders for controlled/capital items.
• Reconciles inventory and accounting data for the Annual Financial Report.
• Processes surplus transfers, turn-ins, and disposals, and monitors state transfers.
• Conducts extensive research on historical data and corrects transaction errors.
• Processes accounting transactions, reports abuse, and monitors compliance.
• Creates and presents instructional training information materials.
• Creates the database template for the Annual Physical Inventory.
• Creates management reports and spreadsheets from the databases.
• Oversees asset tagging/verification at geographically separated facilities/departments.
• Responds in person to customer inquiries.
• Develops the reporting plan for conducting 20% equipment audits.
• Coordinates Inventory Training classes with Human Resources personnel.
