Job description

The inventory control coordinator position is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, facilitate intracompany shipments, establish inventory locations, maintaining relationships with key personnel and Cornerstone Building Brands facilities, and vendors to ensure competitive timely receipt of material.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Supervisor and/or Plant Manager to establish dedicated locations and labels for all material in the facility
• Work with leadership to conduct and prepare for plant wide inventory counts as directed by the company
• Work with Intracompany Coordinators to move material efficiently, as needed to other facilities
• Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement, and place purchase orders to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained in order to meet customer demand
• Facilitate the cycle count program. Identify root cause and process improvements for any discrepancies
• Review compiled inventory reports and enter inventory adjustments to balance as needed
• Present reports and recommendations to management regarding product choices and stocking levels to promote profitability
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inventory control experience
• Ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to think and respond quickly and adjust operations in response to unplanned events
• Ability to be self-directed
• Attention and care required to prevent errors
• Ability to read simple to complex documents in which considerable inference may be required
• Ability to stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
