Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Milwaukee, WI to ensure accurate inventory systems on the production floor. You will work with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to optimize material flow and minimize discrepancies.

The role requires experience in supply chain, warehousing and production planning, with ERP/MRP and Excel proficiency. Forklift training is a plus and travel between nearby facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in supply chain, warehousing, bin stocking and production planning.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Excel features such as tables, filters, and sorting.
• Preferred knowledge of Smartsheet or Epicor and forklift training.

Responsibilities

• Implement standardized inventory control processes on the production floor.
• Follow processes for receiving, stocking, kitting, and returning parts.
• Monitor inventory levels and align with production needs.
• Lead periodic inventory audits and 5S initiatives.
• Create and maintain bin stock locations and labeling standards.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Monitor status of manufactured components and expedite with production supervision.
• Analyze usage patterns and report material transactions to ERP system.

STS Technical Services is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will help maintain inventory control processes on the manufacturing floor, working closely with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure a smooth, efficient, and accurate inventory system.

Responsibilities:

Process Development and Oversight

• Implement standardized inventory control processes on production floor.
• Follow standardized processes for receiving, stocking, kitting, and returning parts.
• Monitor inventory levels; Ensure levels align with production needs.
• Lead periodic inventory audits and 5S initiatives.

Bin Stock Management

• Create and maintain bin stock locations.
• Implement labeling standards for parts and bins.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.

Material Flow

• Monitor status of manufactured components. Expedite through production supervisors.
• Analyze usage patterns and adjust strategies as needed.
• Report material transactions to ERP system &/or ERP team.

Required:

Relevant experience in; Supply Chain, Warehousing, Bin Stocking, Production Planning.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems, Project Management Tools, and Excel features such as tables, filters, and sorting. Familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor preferred.
• Forklift training

Work Requirements:

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between our facilities (<10 miles apart)
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials.
