Job description

The Inventory Control Specialist is a key member of the EDCO Products Operations team. This full-time, non-exempt position is based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Operations Supervisor. This is a position with normal working hours from Monday to Friday between 8:00AM - 4:30PM. This individual will focus on inventory cycle counting and ensure inventory accuracy within the production floor and between locations. Requires strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring, and coordination to confirm inventory & investigate count discrepancies. Assist with shipping, receiving & production duties as directed by supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile inventory, identify root cause of discrepancies
  • Continuous improvement of cycle counting, inventory management and product transfer processes
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy.
  • Facilitate and reconcile inventory transfers between locations
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and workorder issues as needed
  • Work with Production to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing manager.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Provide information to departmental staff to assist in the planning and production of products.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Previous cycle count experience highly preferred
  • NetSuite or other ERP experience is a plus
