Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow process documentation to control inflow and outflow of material inventory and keep ERP data aligned.
• Perform stocking, organizing and storage/put-away activities to ensure inventory is available.
• Complete inventory counts and report adjustments to the Warehouse Manager.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes.
• Maintain inventory control metrics and support buyers.

Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist I controls the inflow and outflow of the material inventory, performing both physical and system transactions to ensure optimal inventory availability and integrity.

Reporting Relationships

The Inventory Control Specialist I reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow process documentation to control the inflow and outflow of material inventory. Utilize ERP system to keep physical inventory factors aligned with system inventory data.
• Perform stocking, organizing and storage/put-away activities to ensure inventory is available and ready for use.
• Complete inventory counts per a defined schedule and supplies inventory adjustment feedback to the Warehouse Manager based on results of inventory counts.
• Assist in investigation of found inventory discrepancies and shortages to determine root cause and execute corrective action process.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in maintenance of inventory control metrics.
• Work with buyers and requisitioners to resolve delivery discrepancies, quality issues and returns.
• Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
• Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
• Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
• Other related duties.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills And Qualifications

• Procurement, Inventory Control or Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of inventory control methods and techniques preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, primarily Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
• Obtaining forklift certification is required. Tosoh will supply training.
• Basic analytical and mathematical skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Frequent bending and twisting required.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.
