Job summary

American Woodmark is seeking a detail-oriented clerical professional to support inventory control and data entry in a manufacturing setting in Georgia. You will understand material flow, identify parts, and manage cycle count data with accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. You will contribute to inventory accuracy, train new staff, and assist in receiving and materials clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as packing lists or job orders.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Basic mathematical concepts for inventory control and data verification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure housekeeping and safety rules are followed.
• Understand material flow and basic inventory control principles.
• Identify parts and their locations in inventory.
• Update and maintain supply of cycle count sheets; print and distribute schedules.
• Analyze cycle counts and order re-counts; correct inventory data.
• Train new employees to cycle count as needed.
• Lead and maintain Cycle Count History Data Base and improve inventory accuracy.
• Report material discrepancies to Materials Manager, Plant Buyer, and Materials Clerk.
• Carry out IPT and non-conform responsibilities when needed.
• Fill in for Receiving Clerk and Materials Clerk as required.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and expedite parts when needed.
• Promote team effectiveness and positive attitude.
