Responsibilities
Inventory Control Specialists perform a variety of duties to maintain control over inventories, ensuring they are secured, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel at a distribution location. They conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records. They ensure that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct to maintain accurate physical inventories and keep precise records. They analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales to manage orders and forecasts. Inventory Control Specialists operate forklifts to maintain inventory positions. They also maintain good housekeeping in their work area, follow safety programs, and ensure OSHA compliance. Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED, or two (2) years of equivalent work experience. Ability to perform duties in a warehouse environment with some physical exertion, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically more than five (5) years of experience in related job functions. Leadership qualities and the ability to interface well with customers. Solid understanding of RFN functions. Proficiency in operating office equipment (calculator, computer) and familiarity with software applications such as Excel and Agility. Ability to understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations. Effective communication, decision-making, and organizational skills are also required.
