Role Summary
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of Inventory Control to ensure financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage inventory counting and processes to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
- Develop policies and procedures surrounding the maintenance or proper inventory levels.
- Responsible for Bill of Material maintenance of receivables.
- Create Work Orders for all projects through the production process.
- Invoicing and close out of project materials.
- Forecasting, procurement, and monitoring of receiving of all LJ Relay materials to support production demands.
- Coordinate shipping activities and logistical execution of product deliveries.
- Coordinate inventory counts with the assistance of the Material Coordinators.
- Prepare inventory reconciliations and report findings to management.
- Investigate all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure efficient workflow of inventory.
- Analyze inventory trends and report replenishment needs and obsolete or slow‑moving inventory to management.
- Oversee all inventory transfers from start to finish, including internal inventory moves as well as inventory moving off‑site.
- Operate pallet jacks to lift and transport material.
- Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need
- Work Experience: 2 years’ experience in inventory control.
- Education: Associates degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Analytics/Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Organization Skills: Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Cross‑functional skills: Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills; strong customer focus.
- Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to see, sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; ability to lift, move, carry up to 50 lbs.; ability to stand for 8 hours a day; ability to climb stairs and step ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
- Driver’s license: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in inventory control.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
- Previous training in use of forklift or hand truck.
