Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage all incoming and outgoing inventories, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date counts.

You will log movements, flag shortages, and coordinate with Manufacturing to expedite material delivery while maintaining organized storage and efficient inventory levels. The role requires five years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Office software and inventory systems.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Experience with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.
  • Completed cycle counts and year-end inventory counts; able to analyze data.
  • Familiarity with setting up inventory locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages; partners with Logistics to optimize operations.
  • Communicates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations teams to meet business goals.
  • Develops relationships with suppliers and implements VMI when feasible.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures.
  • Monitors demand and space planning to anticipate storage and logistical needs.
  • Maintains timely and accurate inventory data.
  • Develops Inventory department metrics and reports to upper management.
  • Receiving and delivering of special orders to appropriate departments.
  • Ensure part numbers match and packing slips quantities; follow special storage instructions.
  • Adheres to safety procedures and OSHA regulations for material handling.
  • Contributes to team effort by achieving related results as needed.
  • Develop and implement Inventory mapping system.
