The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for executing daily inventory and cycle counts, ensuring all items are accurately counted and procedures are followed. The role involves effective communication and engagement with the Materials team, as well as escalation and reporting of issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform regular cycle counts, track results, and identify causes of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate concerns regarding stock outs or overages to purchasing.
- Conduct audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data and generate relevant reports.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and software.
- Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory flow and reduce costs.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide backup support to the Production Planner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an inventory role.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform on-site inventory tasks and lift/move up to 25 pounds, if required.
