Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Preferably two years or more experience in receiving.

Responsibilities

• Oversees vendor receiving, checks counts and records merchandise.
• Ensures saleable condition, rejects damaged items and records accordingly.
• Conducts shelf and date checks to verify rotation and freshness.
• Contacts vendors to request product to meet customer demand.
• Reduces shrink by preventing waste and handling damaged merchandise.
• Maintains backroom receiving area security and 5S organization.
• Cooperates with coworkers to keep department and store running smoothly.
• Follows safety standards and uses PPE.
• May assist unloading deliveries with power jack or hand jack.
• May assist baling cardboard; training provided.
