Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure backroom accuracy and inventory integrity. You will manage product dating, cooler/freezer compliance, and days-on-hand targets while maintaining beer, wine, and spirits inventory records.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs. You will align with distribution accuracy and store compliance standards, driving efficient backroom operations and regulatory compliance to boost guest confidence in product

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to oversee inbound/outbound deliveries and resolve open items.
• Monitor and maintain days-on-hand inventory targets for all departments.
• Maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and comply with laws.
• Enforce store receiving protocols and backroom security.
• Verify deliveries, truck seals, and invoices for accurate processing and credits.
• Partner with distribution and merchandising teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as primary contact for Maintenance Dispatch Center to track equipment repairs.
• Provide courteous interactions with vendors, team members, and guests.
