The Fresh Market in New York is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee backroom accuracy, product dating, and vendor receiving. You will drive inventory integrity, enforce SOPs, and ensure regulatory compliance to keep shelves stocked and guests confident in product freshness.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to oversee inbound/outbound deliveries and support inventory planning.
• Monitor and maintain days-on-hand targets for all departments.
• Maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventories and compliance with laws.
• Enforce receiving protocols, including vendor security and backroom access control.
• Verify deliveries, truck seals, and invoices; process credits accurately.
• Resolve invoice, quantity, and quality discrepancies with distribution/merchandising teams.
• Serve as primary contact for Maintenance Dispatch Center for equipment repairs.
• Provide courteous interactions with vendors, team members, and guests.
