Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an Inventory/Logistics Specialist to optimize inventory value across locations. You will lead inventory control, manage MRP systems, and align materials planning with production scheduling.
The role requires 4–6 years in material handling and supervision, plus APICS/CPIM certification and a strong understanding of procurement processes. You will collaborate across divisions to achieve cost-efficient inventory management.
GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for obtaining the maximum value from inventory and the inventory process as a whole. Directly responsible for delivering the maximum strategic value of inventory and inventory logistics to the company through advanced inventory management principles and practices across all locations.
Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of inventory control, MRP systems, material handling and shipping, and production scheduling. Good knowledge of division products and their manufacturing processes or the ability to acquire it quickly. Some knowledge of purchasing procedures. Ability to affect record maintenance/reports, as well as cost efficient inventory processing. Safe material processing. Ability to direct the activities of others and work effectively with subordinates and department managers. APICS/CPIM certification.
Completion of two or more years, depending on level, of post high school education in production management and inventory control, APICS certification preferred. 4-6 years combined experience in material handling, production scheduling and supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that result in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
