Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a seasoned Inventory Control Manager to lead day-to-day operations across distribution centers and stores. You will supervise a diverse team, hire, train, and schedule staff, and drive process improvements to increase accuracy and cost-effectiveness.

With 5+ years in inventory and distribution and 2+ years in a supervisory role, you will partner with DC Operations, Merchandising, and Store Ops to uphold standards and safety while delivering superior service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures.
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations related to inventory control.
• Manages a diverse workforce, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, corrective action and termination.
• Analyzes operations, develops and implements processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyzes inventory results to reduce inaccuracies.
• Maintains a work culture focused on superior customer service.
• Works with operational leaders to improve inventory accuracy.
• Ensures team members perform to standards and safety procedures.
• Monitors and maintains compliance expectations.
• Manages internal controls and responds to audit requests.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports; builds partnerships with internal and external customers.
