Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. in Texas is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensure accurate receiving, stocking, and inventory integrity, and collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.

You will walk the store daily, monitor stock levels, and support promotions. You will also manage donations, grocery/non-perishable inventories, and maintain a secure, clean backroom for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing inventory in retail or grocery settings.
• Ability to reconcile inventory and identify variances.
• Familiarity with store portals and inventory software.

What You Bring To The Table

• Inventory Management Skills: Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Capable of making decisions independently and resolving issues related to inventory and deliveries.
• Communication Skills: Effective interaction with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift/carry 5-50 lbs., push/pull 10-50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to upholding a positive customer experience through accurate inventory and store readiness.
