Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery operations and maintain accurate, stocked merchandise across the store in Reston, VA.

You will walk the aisles daily, scan DSD items, and flag out-of-stock or overstock conditions while coordinating with night crews, merchandisers, and the Store Director to ensure inventory accuracy. The role emphasizes detail orientation, basic computer skills, and strong communication with vendors

As a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC), you’ll be overseeing all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked. You’ll walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and partner closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You’ll also communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution. Your role includes monitoring donations, managing grocery and non‑perishable inventories, and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment. • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
• Problem‑Solving Ability: Capable of making decisions independently and resolving issues related to inventory and deliveries.
• Communication Skills: Effective interaction with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift/carry 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to upholding a positive customer experience through accurate inventory and store readiness.
