Job description

Position: Inventory Control Manager
Location: Lawrence, MA (Corporate Office)
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Department / Function: Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

Know what's in the warehouse - and make sure it's where it belongs.

Inventory accuracy doesn't happen from behind a desk. It takes someone who understands the numbers but is also willing to get out into the warehouse, investigate discrepancies, count product, trace material movements, and work directly with the people handling inventory every day.

Asahi/America is looking for a hands-on Inventory Control Manager who can bring those two worlds together - strong inventory systems and analysis combined with a practical understanding of warehouse operations.

What's The Job?

As our Inventory Control Manager , you'll take ownership of inventory accuracy and help improve how material moves throughout our warehouse and manufacturing operations. You'll lead cycle counting, investigating discrepancies, reconcile inventory variances, maintain accurate ERP records, and look for better ways to organize, store, and replenish inventory. Inventory Control Manager

This is not a desk-only management position. You'll spend time in the warehouse seeing what is actually happening, working alongside employees and supervisors, tracking down problems, and turning what you learn into practical improvements. You'll also supervise one Inventory Control Specialist and work closely with the Warehouse Manager and teams across Production, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Quality.

What You Will Own.

You'll own the processes that keep our inventory accurate - from cycle counts and discrepancy resolution to stock adjustments, material movements, location accuracy, and ERP transactions. When the system and the shelf don't agree, you'll dig in to understand why and fix the underlying problem. You'll use inventory and shipment data to identify slotting and consolidation opportunities, improve warehouse space utilization, and help ensure the right material is available when Production and customers need it. Inventory Control Manager

You'll also develop practical inventory procedures, track KPIs, support monthly and year-end inventory activities, train employees on inventory practices and ERP transactions, and partner across departments to improve material flow and reduce errors, waste, and excess inventory.

What Separates You From The Rest.

You understand inventory from both sides of the computer screen. You can work with ERP data, Excel, reports, and inventory metrics, but you also know that the numbers only tell part of the story.

We're looking for someone who can analyze an inventory variance in the ERP system at 9:00 a.m. and be walking the warehouse at 9:30, figuring out why it happened. Someone who is just as comfortable working alongside warehouse employees as they are analyzing inventory reports.

You bring at least five years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management within a manufacturing or distribution environment. You understand cycle counting, inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse operations, and you know how to turn information into action.

Most importantly, you're a hands-on problem solver who takes ownership. You don't simply report that something is wrong - you figure out why, work with the people involved, and help put a better process in place. You build relationships, earn respect, and lead by example.

Why You'll Love Working Here.

At Asahi/America, you'll have the opportunity to lead quality in an established manufacturing organization where your ideas, decisions, and improvements can have a visible impact. You'll work across manufacturing, engineering, sales, and other areas of the business while helping shape how we approach quality and continuous improvement. We offer medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance from day one, a 401(k) with a generous company match and immediate vesting, continuing education reimbursement, and the opportunity to grow your career with an industry leader.

Quality products. Trusted partnerships. Proven success - that's Asahi/America.

Compensation Transparency.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000 per year Plus Bonus.
