Description

As an Inventory Control & Logistics Specialist, you will oversee and manage logistics operations, including inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to customers. You will collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, and distributors to streamline processes and improve supply chain efficiency.

Position Description:

Perform inventory control activities related to manufacturing, engineering, and production planning. Proficient use of MFI's electronic ERP systems is required. Responsibilities include data preparation, record maintenance, inventory accuracy, and managing engineering and quality documents. Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives and customer needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive and inventory parts and supplies, ensuring correct placement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized facility with properly labeled inventory.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts for purchased and manufactured items.
  • Engage in process improvement, inventory control, and goal monitoring daily.
  • Process non-conformance reports.
  • Coordinate location assignments for items.
  • Analyze negative inventories and resolve issues.
  • Manage obsolete inventory transactions.
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers for shipment movement.
  • Negotiate and manage transportation contracts.
  • Monitor and improve logistics performance metrics.
