Job summary

FleetPride, the nation’s largest distributor of heavy-duty parts, seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accuracy and lead-cycle counts across distribution centers. You will use the WMS to update on-hand inventory, monitor IBT movements, and resolve discrepancies with branches and shipping locations.

The role requires a BA/BS or 3–5 years related experience, bilingual Spanish, and strong Excel/AS400 skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business or related field or 3–5 years of experience in a related activity.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data-intensive environment with data integrity responsibility.
• Knowledge of JDA Application.
• Knowledge of AS400 and data extraction/analysis tools.
• Experience in purchasing and replenishment preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint, AS400, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain inventory accuracy and reporting to identify improvements.
• Coordinate training to improve inventory management personnel and procedures.
• Proficient in current WMS and use it to update on-hand inventory accurately.
• Monitor material movements and IBT shortages/overages; investigate discrepancies.
• Resolve shortages/overages with shipping locations before posting to inventory.
• Manage cycle count program and align with inventory profile, A/B/C item categorization.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and improper/misshipped product.
• Support annual physical inventory in Distribution Centers.
• Work with DCs to identify inventory velocities and optimize slotting for efficiency.
