Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee accuracy across multiple warehouses and production sites. You will lead cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and drive lean inventory practices to optimize working capital.

You will manage a team of specialists, coordinate with Purchasing, IT, and Production, and establish KPIs to improve inventory integrity and transaction accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• 5+ years in inventory control or warehouse management.
• 2+ years of people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy across internal and external warehouses and production locations.
• Develop and run cycle count programs based on risk and discrepancy history.
• Lead annual physical inventories and corrective actions.
• Investigate discrepancies and identify root causes (BOM issues, missing receipts, miscounts).
• Establish corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
• Monitor negative inventory balances and resolve system vs. physical inventory gaps.
• Ensure accurate ERP transactions (Oracle) and traceability of material movements.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, Production and IT to resolve issues.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to support daily reviews and accountability.
• Lead cross-functional improvements to reduce adjustments and improve data integrity.
• Coach and develop inventory staff; maintain safety and standard work.
