Job summary

Sam Rust Seafood, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy, support product quality, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will perform counts, inspections, and discrepancies investigations while supporting receiving activities. The role requires 1+ year in inventory control, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of inventory control experience.
• 1-2 years of perishable inventory experience.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and able to learn inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, bend, walk stairs, perform computer/data-entry tasks, and work safely in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 100°F+.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory counts and product inspections to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor quality and food safety controls according to HACCP requirements.
• Support receiving activities and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Provide daily guidance and training to associates on inventory procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to warehouse processes.
