Job summary

Filterbuy in New Kensington, PA is seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and warehouse operations. This role will lead a team and partner with Receiving, Shipping, Production, and Purchasing to resolve inventory issues.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in inventory control within manufacturing or distribution, strong analytical skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

3+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

Supervise daily inventory control activities and inventory personnel.
Lead and coordinate cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
Monitor inventory transactions to ensure system accuracy.
Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP system.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Production, and Purchasing to resolve inventory issues.
Ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO) and storage practices.
Monitor damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
Analyze inventory trends and prepare inventory reports for leadership.
Train, coach, and develop inventory team members.
Establish productivity and accuracy expectations for the inventory team.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Participate in warehouse projects and process improvement initiatives.
Assist with system implementations and inventory process enhancements as needed.
