Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking an Inventory Control Assistant Manager to lead the on‑site IC team, manage cycle counts, and ensure accuracy of reporting for distribution centers. You will partner with DC operations and HR to hire, train, and develop staff while driving process improvements to protect inventory integrity.

You will oversee daily activities, reconcile time records, and ensure compliance with auditing tasks across the distribution network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year leadership experience or completion of internal development program.
• 3+ years of inventory in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience with writing and delivering performance evaluations and disciplinary actions and training associates.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Proficient understanding of SAP and WMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Highly motivated team player with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Direct and prioritize daily activities of IC team including reporting, cycle counting, discrepancy research and resolution.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reporting and audited tasks are completed accurately and compliant.
• Reconcile employee time records daily.
• Interview, hire, and train new IC team members with HR.
• Guide performance management through goals, reviews, and development plans.
• Conduct daily standup meetings to update staff on events and initiatives.
• Develop product familiarity and identification.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies using multiple systems and authorize adjustments.
• Learn local DC operations and build cross‑departmental relationships to improve processes.
• Support IC needs across DCs and perform backup duties as needed.
• All other duties as required.
