Job summary

Total Warehouse in Riverside, CA is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to oversee parts and lift equipment supply, supervise inventory teams, and ensure records are accurate and balanced.

You will coordinate cycle counts, track parts ETA, and work with Dispatch and Service to generate reports while upholding inventory-control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute cycle count schedule.

• Assist in PM forecasting by allocating supplies.

• Collaborate with departments to achieve goals.
• Coordinate handling of damaged/defective products.

The Inventory Control Lead overseas and maintains the company's supply of parts and lift equipment. The Inventory Control Lead manages staff in keeping count of parts and equipment, this position ensures that company inventory remains balanced, restocks supplies, assists in maintaining inventory records, and provides customer assistance as necessary. This position also supervises all inventory operations and the teams according to policies.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate objectives.
• Conduct daily cycle counts of the various inventory assets.
• Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages.
• Update work order statuses (waiting parts, ready to bill, complete) to prevent billing delays
• Take care of the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage
• Maintained shop and van inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and technician transfers
• Tracked parts ETA, availability, and redispatch coordination with Dispatch and Service
• Supervise and coordinate the appropriate processing of various purchase requisitions, receiving reports, purchase orders, inventory requisitions, etc.
• Take periodic physical inventories and ensure that the investment in inventory is maintained at optimum levels.
• Communicate with vendors about the merchandise and its concerned inquiries.
• Prepare reports of inventory balance and use computer applications and database management to perform the assigned work effectively.
• Supported PM forecasting by allocating filters, oils, and consumables in advance
• Accurately input data related to product description in the inventory system as well as maintain accurate merchandising information and inventory turn performance.
• Work in tandem with various departments and maintain flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals.
• Coordinate damaged and defective products and make sure that it is accounted and handled properly.
• Ensure that all the employees work towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and make suggestions for improvement to the management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
• Capable of using computer inventory software.
