Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors is actively hiring for an Inventory Control Specialist in Middletown, CT. The role involves maintaining inventory levels, cycle counting, and kitting to support production, with interfaces across Materials Planning, Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, and Production teams.

The position emphasizes accuracy, lean 5S environment, and close collaboration with group leaders and assemblers to ensure timely production flow.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• 3 to 5 years of related inventory management experience.
• Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as manufacturing, procurement, materials planning.
• Requires understanding and use of MRP systems/manufacturing processes.
• Good oral and written communications skills and working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and database application software.

Responsibilities

• Support all inventory control requirements within the material department.
• Perform kitting for multiple Programs to support production schedule.
• Perform transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories as required.
• Reconcile Work orders with functional teams to support timely closures.
• Maintain traceability for all hardware to ensure compliance.
• Interface with group leaders and assemblers to optimize and manage flow of work in the production floor.
• Provide feedback to manager regarding part shortages and concerns.
• Lead by example by preventing errors, ensuring work is performed in accordance with department and company policies, procedures.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and make decisions under tight schedules to support customer requirements.
