Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a Project Material Management Analyst to coordinate planning and control activities for a technical manufacturing program. The role focuses on master scheduling, capacity planning, and materials planning to meet schedules.

You will work with Engineering and Purchasing to develop schedules, analyze demand and supply, and provide direction to analysts. This is an on-site 100% role.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related production planning experience.
• Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as manufacturing, procurement, materials planning.
• Requires understanding and use of MRP systems/manufacturing processes.
• Good oral and written communications skills and working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and database application software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing and other groups to develop, maintain and monitor schedules.
• Perform analytical duties related to identification and resolution of materiel management problems to meet schedules.
• Provide technical direction to lower level analysts in scheduling/expediting duties.
• Release purchase requisitions for appropriate lot and batch quantities based on JIT principles while satisfying program cost objectives.
• Keep inventory levels balanced to demand and provide input to maintain accurate manufactured lead-times.
• Interface with Managers, Supervisors and Group Leaders to optimize and manage flow of work on the production floor.
• Participate in program status reviews and new program planning meetings.
