DIRECT HIRE | INVENTORY SPECIALIST | Lenexa, KS

A leading industrial equipment manufacturer seeks a Purchasing Agent to support production in Lenexa, KS. The main purpose is pulling parts, managing inventory, and assisting with shipping/receiving in a clean, climate-controlled shop.

Anticipated Pay/Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $19–$21/hour (possible flexibility)
  • Schedule: M–F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible, e.g., 7:30 AM–4:30 PM)
  • Benefits, PTO

Responsibilities:

  • Pull parts (2–200 per project) for assembly techs using job orders, BOMs, and POs.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and bin locations for accuracy.
  • Support shipping/receiving with UPS WorldShip and perform light admin tasks (10%).
  • Communicate with engineering and production to address part shortages/delays.
  • Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams) and potentially SAP for documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years in warehouse, inventory, or parts management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Comfort working 90% in a shop environment (clean, climate-controlled).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; UPS WorldShip or SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
