Job summary

Acoustical Sheetmetal Company is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Virginia Beach, dedicated to keeping materials in the right place at the right time. You will manage records, counts, and transactions to support smooth production in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a collaborative approach with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling.
• Basic understanding of inventory management processes and systems.
• Experience using QuickBooks or similar inventory tracking software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, issue, and track raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and process inventory transactions promptly.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with leadership to resolve issues.
• Organize warehouse locations, material storage areas, and inventory labeling systems.
• Support material movement between departments and facilities as needed.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping teams to ensure material availability.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $26.00 Hourly
