INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK I

Location: Thomasville, North Carolina, United States, 27360

Primary Objective:

Monitor and track inventory of all flooring products and accessories in the assigned warehouse. Responsible for cycle counting, maintaining accurate records, and handling all related paperwork and procedures. Provide management with information on inventory issues, corrections, and adjustments. Support warehouse team in loading and unloading products.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Perform scheduled cycle counts of flooring products.
2. Search for products within the internal system, record discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
3. Assist with processing and inspecting returns.
4. Conduct regular searches for Lost & Found inventory and adjust system records as needed.
5. Maintain reports and documentation for inventory counts, audits, and adjustments.
6. Process claims and manage merchandise returns to salvage areas.
7. Handle DAMAGE inventory, including pulling, restacking, labeling, and adjusting system records.
8. Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
9. Assist warehouse personnel with operations, including loading trucks.
10. Attend training sessions as required.
11. Follow all standard operating procedures.
12. Perform housekeeping duties.
13. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Safety-conscious and dependable.
• Ability to pass Mohawk Lift Truck Certification.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Report discrepancies immediately to management.
• May be responsible for inventory adjustments with proper approvals.
