Kenworth Sales Company is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role supports management with parts inventory coordination and maintenance in a warehouse setting, combining desk work with in-warehouse tasks.

Bring your skills to the 2025Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group is looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join the teamin our Chesapeake, Virginia location.

JobSummary:

The primary function of the Inventory Control Clerk is to assist Management with the coordination and maintenance of parts inventory.

Salary Minimum and Maximum:

$20 - $25 per hour.

DutiesandResponsibilities:

• Assist with stock and emergency purchasing, reports, vendor stock and core returns, order levels, receiving and related functions
• Run and update PACCAR reports, input all stock orders and assist with emergency orders daily
• Keep prices current
• Monitor and process credits, RMA's outstanding and shipping authorizations
• Files departmental paperwork
• Assists Parts Manager with special projects as requested, including cycle counts and annual physical inventory count
• Maintain good communications with team members to minimize mistakes and maximize teamwork

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
• High school diploma or the equivalent. Clearly legible handwriting
• Computer terminal data input, 10 key calculator
• 2 years general office experience with understanding of office procedures, to include filing, correspondence, basic accounting. Knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Knowledge of Bills of Lading and Freight preferred but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position involves both sedentary and other work.
• For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephoning, and filing.
• For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.
• Lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis.
• Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
