Job summary

Jacam Catalyst LLC in Wisconsin is seeking an organized inventory and administrative associate to handle purchasing, movement, manufacturing and sales transactions, plus monthly outdoor counts. You will perform routine quality control tests on chemical samples, coordinate with vendors and staff, and support a fast-paced team in a warehouse and laboratory setting with varying weather and hours.

Day shifts with occasional weekends and overtime may apply.

  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Respond promptly to requests and remain flexible for changing priorities.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations in daily tasks.
  • Attend month-end counts on last day and quarter ends as required.
  • Assist coworkers with duties when time permits.

Job description

Perform routine administrative tasks and inventory transactions related to purchasing, movement, manufacturing, and sales. Complete monthly outdoor physical inventory counts. Conduct routine quality control tests on chemical samples.

Work Schedule: Day shift, schedule will be discussed in interview; common shifts include 5am-2pm, 6am-3pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, 5am-5pm, 6am-6pm, or according to manager’s discretion. Schedule may include weekend work and overtime.

Essential Functions
  • Enter computer transactions associated with inventory purchasing, movement, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Prepare paperwork required for trucking and manufacturing.
  • Process routine quality control testing on chemical samples.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to inventory transactions.
  • Perform monthly physical inventory counts outside for several hours in various weather conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to customer and employee requests.
  • Be precise, detail-oriented, and organized while processing multiple activities with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties.
  • Specific attendance is required on the last day of every month to conduct inventory counts. Preferably no absences on these days, particularly at quarter ends (March 31 st , June 30 th , September 30 th , and December 31 st ).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to assist coworkers with duties as time permits.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An Associate’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines and business needs.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Computer Skills: Background in MS Office applications required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
  • Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.

90% of time in a controlled atmosphere within an office setting arranged in a warehouse and laboratory environment.

10% of time in a chemical manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. Employee could work in temperature extremes. Must be able to work in a chemical odors environment.
