Job summary

Southwest Traders, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Clerk to perform cycle counts, maintain inventory records and publish monthly reports. You will support accuracy and safety within a warehouse environment in Fresno, CA.

Qualifications

Inventory Clerk

Salary Range: $21.00 to $21.00 per hour

• Scheduled days: Monday through Friday; weekends as needed
• Salary: $21/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate should possess the following qualifications to be considered for the opportunity:

• Perform cycle counts as directed to maintain inventory accuracy
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Accurately maintain inventory records and files
• Prepare, maintain, and publish monthly record of cycle counts

• Assist in determining reasons for inaccuracies as they occur and recommend methods to prevent future inventory discrepancies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility
• Complete all cycle count tasks generated by the warehouse management system to ensure warehouse personnel can perform their function
• Cycle count various assigned aisles daily, ensuring all locations are counted at end of each quarter (cycle count includes quantity, lot numbers, pallet type, and any other relevant information regarding the item)
• Investigate and determine inventory discrepancies through various systems, reporting findings to management
• Reconcile and adjust inventory discrepancies in the WMS
• Address shortage issues along with solutions regarding customer orders
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, cherry picker and scissor lift

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong interpersonal, numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills are integral to the role
• Excellent verbal and written communications and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing requirements, collaborate with others, and influence problem resolution
• Ability to tolerate cold temperatures and work in a walk-in refrigerator and freezer
• Solid understanding of inventory management concepts; knowledge of warehousing, receiving and distribution; HACCP documentation and management strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Maintain cleanliness, temperature control, and uphold high AIB standards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Inventory Control capacity required

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard warehouse conditions apply. Long hours standing, walking, bending, and lifting; operating industrial equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
