Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of inventory quantities and locations.
• Support other sites with maintaining accurate inventory.
• Conduct daily physical inventories and cycle counts for discrepancies.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace; move pallets and organize stock.
• Perform length checks for Sales.
• Support internal transfers.
• Pull material using scan gun following procedures.
• Inspect material for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or storage.
• Record material discrepancies and resolve quantity or labeling issues.
• Assist with missing spools and monitor rewind process as needed.
• Monitor inventory dashboards and act to maintain data integrity.
• Support year-end inventory process.
• Oversee non-stock material for order allocations and placement.
• Follow safety procedures and report dangerous conditions.
• Assist site with production as needed.

Job description

Basic Function: The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, oversight, and performance of warehouse inventory, including ensuring accurate inventory through cycle counts and monitoring inventory dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of inventory quantities and locations.
• Support other sites with maintaining accurate inventory.
• Conducts daily physical inventories and cycle counts for product discrepancies.
• Maintains a neat and orderly workplace at all times - includes moving pallets, straightening inventory, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris.
• Perform length checks for Sales.
• Support internal transfers.
• Pull material using the scan gun and according to the correct procedure.
• Inspects material for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
• Records all material discrepancies utilizing appropriate procedures.
• Fix discrepancies related to inventory quantities, labeling, packaging, etc.
• Assists with missing spools, spool discrepancies and monitors the rewind process.
• Monitors inventory dashboards and takes appropriate actions to ensure inventory data integrity.
• Responsible for supporting year-end inventory process.
• Oversees non-stock material for order allocations and correct warehouse placement once received.
• Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
• Assist site with production as needed.
