Job summary

IDN Global, Inc. in Dallas, TX is hiring an Inventory Buyer / Planner to own stock replenishment, special orders, and drop-ship procurement. The role supports multiple branches and drives vendor accountability, cost control, and strong inventory turns.

You will use ERP systems and Excel to analyze demand trends, maintain price books, and ensure on-time purchases. This full-time, on-site position offers a collaborative, quality-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of stock replenishment, special orders, and drop-ship purchasing in a distribution/industrial wholesale setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (lookup formulas, tracking matrices, financial math).
• Experience with an ERP inventory management platform.

Responsibilities

• Own stock replenishment lifecycle across core product lines and optimize safety stock.
• Analyze inventory data and trends to execute weekly replenishments and adjust reorder points.
• Review purchase orders for pricing, freight terms, and delivery dates.
• Audit price books and communicate margin impacts to operations.
• Resolve invoice and PO price variances with accounting.
• Handle special orders with exact manufacturer configurations and lead times.
• Manage end-to-end drop-ship process with manufacturers to ensure accurate shipments.
• Track and expedit past-due open POs to minimize cycle times.
