Job summary

GME Supply in Missouri is seeking an Inventory Planner / Buyer to manage inventory levels and purchase orders, ensuring on-time availability while keeping lean stock of slower-moving items. You will monitor purchasing needs and influence replenishment across stockable items.

Responsibilities include creating advance buys, scheduled deliveries, ERP-driven forecasting, and POS reporting. Requires a bachelor's in supply chain/business and 3 years in a Buyer/Planning role with strong ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
• 3 years of work experience in a Buyer or Planning role.
• Experience using ERP systems with forecasting/demand planning capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and problem-solving with a continuous improvement mindset.

The Inventory Planner / Buyer is responsible for managing item inventory with a sense of urgency and focus in order to meet or exceed customers’ expectations while keeping the inventory volume of slower-turning / less profitable inventory categories / items lean. The actions of the Inventory Planner / Buyer as it pertains to managing inventory and vendor relations, reducing expenses, and increasing profit margins, are actions vital to our continued growth and profitability. The Inventory Planner / Buyer will provide support to stakeholders via daily tasks and projects and contributions to personal and departmental goals. Personal goal attainment toward employee development and growth within the organization will be crucial.

• Monitor purchasing requirements and manage inventory levels
• Analyze inventory needs and urgency to determine the best way to fulfill requirements
