• Support MIA Reconciliation shift (Mon-Thu 3-5pm) to allocate returned inventory.

God's Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area's leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, God's Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God's Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client's severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God's Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided at no cost to our clients.

About the Role:

The Inventory Assistant role will entail a series of tasks that will be completed daily. This individual will need to have a sharp attention to detail to where we can fix discrepancies as soon as possible, as well as be able to lift 40-50 points, competently count basic math, work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize when it comes to completing multiple tasks at hand, and solve problems if issues arise. The Inventory Assistant must also be a team player and lean on one another if support is needed.

Responsibilities:

• Record keeping of inventory (production in the morning and production at night).
• Moving inventory from kitchen freezer to other designated areas.
• Organizing freezers to maximize space when refilling them.
• Building inventory to be shipped to our other warehouse.
• Consolidating any extra empty pallets to keep loading bay area clean and organized.
• Performing cycle counts to ensure our record keeping and movements track what's being relayed in the system.
• Facilitating our MIA Reconciliation shift (Monday-Thursday 3-5pm), which entails allocating our returned inventory following record keeping completed by God's Love volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Strong basic math skills to calculate values, quantities, and shrinkage, alongside fast, error-free data entry.
• Demonstrates a strong desire to succeed, grow within the department, and continuously learn.
• Proactive mindset to quickly research, identify the root cause of, and resolve stock errors.
• Ability to keep accurate and effective notes based around the scope of our job.
• Comfort with inventory management systems.
