Job summary

PTS Corporation, a Bloomington-based reverse logistics and 3PL provider, seeks an Inventory and Operations Planning Manager to convert demand, inventory, and capacity into a single executable plan across two Bloomington facilities.

This hands-on leadership role connects production, warehouse, and support teams, maintaining weekly plans, driving inventory accuracy, and balancing capacity with schedules.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in operations planning, inventory control, or related fields.
• Proven ability to translate forecasts, backlog, and capacity into feasible schedules.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across production, warehouse, and support functions.
• Strong fundamentals in cycle counting, reconciliation, and action to address discrepancies.
• Working knowledge of ERP/warehouse systems; proficiency with Dynamics 365 or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and publish a rolling weekly production and warehouse plan using forecasts, backlog, and capacity.
• Maintain a two-week view of output, shortages, staffing needs, and constraints; lead planning reviews.
• Own inventory control across two facilities, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate material readiness, replenishment, staging, and transfers with leaders before work runs.
• Coach supervisors on planning discipline and problem solving while ensuring daily execution.

We support product returns, testing, repair and refurbishment, kitting, fulfillment, inventory management, and warehousing for established consumer brands.POSITION PURPOSEThe Inventory and Operations Planning Manager converts customer demand, inventory, parts, labor, space, and demonstrated capacity into one executable plan. This position connects production, warehouse, account management, quality, systems, and staffing across two facilities.The role combines hands-on inventory control with production planning and cross-functional leadership. It suits a manager who can add discipline to a changing operation, make practical decisions with imperfect inputs, and follow issues through to resolution.REQUIREMENTSJob QualificationsFive or more years of experience in operations planning, inventory control, production control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, repair or refurbishment, distribution, or third-party logistics.Experience leading people and coordinating work across production, warehouse, customer service, quality, systems, and staffing teams.Demonstrated ability to turn forecasts, backlog, material availability, and capacity into an achievable schedule.Strong inventory control fundamentals, including cycle counting, transaction accuracy, reconciliation, and root cause corrective action.Working knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems and strong spreadsheet skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Power BI is helpful but not required.Clear communication, sound judgment, and the confidence to surface constraints before they become missed commitments.A practical, hands-on approach and comfort moving between the floor, operating data, and leadership discussions.Preferred ExperienceExperience in a multi-customer operation, reverse logistics, serial-controlled inventory, repair workflows, program launches, facility moves, or continuous improvement is preferred.DUTIES: (included, but not limited to)Essential Duties:Build and publish a rolling weekly production and warehouse plan using forecasts, backlog, materials, labor, space, equipment, and actual process capacity.Maintain a two-week view of attainable output, shortages, staffing needs, aged work in process, and other constraints.
