Job summary

Depuy Synthes in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring an Inventory and Logistics Associate to manage inventory, coordinate with sales, and support customer accounts. The role requires 2-4 years in distribution or logistics and strong MS Office skills, with GMP/GxP knowledge a plus.

You will handle cycle counts, product replenishments, labeling, and check-in/put-away processes for orthopedic products, while maintaining strict documentation practices and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;Bachelor's degree considered a plus.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Knowledge of GMP/GxP and good documentation practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory including replenishments, local stock, new product introductions, and expired product.
• Collaborate with the local sales team on customer purchase orders and solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with key customer stakeholders as part of account management.
• Perform check-in and put-away for orthopedic products, including scanning, transfers, and stocking.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and internal teams; support invoicing and pricing issues.
• Adhere to GDP/GxP and quality procedures; assist in regulatory inspections and audits.

Shift: Position will require schedule flexibility between the hours of 7a-7p including on call and weekends

What’s a typical day as Inventory and Logistics Associate? You’ll be:

• Managing inventory including replenishments, local stock, new product introductions, and expired product.
• Collaborating with the local sales team on customer purchase order collection and customer solutions.
• Connecting with and managing key customer stakeholders as part of key account management.
• Performing check in and put away process for Orthopedic products including, but not limited to the following: scanning inventory, completing inventory transfers, ordering replacement parts, and sorting mixed sets
• Contacting with freight forwarder, receiving parties and internal clients
• Partnering with customer accounts receivable to mitigate pricing issues and process invoicing.
• Labeling warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
• Training and following standard operation and quality procedures and work instructions
• Responsible for GDP (Good documentation practices)
• Performing cycle count and inventory reconciliation activities
• Assisting in regulatory inspection and perform safety and quality audits
• Adhering to training requirements, and health and safety regulations
• Wearing protective clothing and equipment as required
• Implementing schedule / policies/ and group guidelines
• Leading projects as required
• Flexible to other tasks as priorities shift

• Have a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required (Bachelor's degree is a plus).
• Bring 2-4 years of relevant work experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or customer service.
• Possess strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, with knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
• Flexibility to work a staggered work schedule covering Monday thru Sunday shifts
• Willingness to accommodate changes in the schedule including working in other shifts as per operational needs is required (late or early start)
• Strong computer skills and ability to utilize specialized software and customized programs to meet business needs
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Practices (GxP) and experience with Inventory Management is a plus
