Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to collect, analyze and present data for customer experience projects. Hybrid in downtown Seattle, four days per week in office, with a focus on building self-service BI and a robust data warehouse.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in SQL and Tableau, 2+ years scripting, and AWS experience, plus a Master’s in a quantitative field. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Master’s degree in quantitative field or equivalent corporate experience.
• 3+ years of corporate experience writing advanced SQL (Teradata, MySQL preferred), performance tuning BI queries, and developing automated data reporting.
• 3+ years of corporate experience building advanced Tableau Dashboards for ongoing measurement and self-service needs.
• 2+ years of scripting for automation (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
• Experience leveraging AWS for both data warehousing and query/process automation.

• Partner with business stakeholders toward delivering highly effective self-service BI solutions.
• Respond to fast-turn BI analytic requests from a wide variety of business partners and demonstrate consistently high analytic and reporting output productivity.
• Partner with the BI Manager and Center of Excellence leaders on building a best-in-class suite of tools and reporting mechanisms to bring the most salient, insightful data more directly into key business functions.
• Provide a constant flow of new and innovative ideas into the BI roadmap.
• Act as the liaison to our IT partners to ensure that the data structure and quality effectively support the BI team’s near and long term strategic needs.

As an integral part of a new Corporate Analytics team, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting data to improve decision making around customer experience projects in Nordstrom. This individual should have a high degree of curiosity about the business and the skills to discover impactful insights from data. They should be able to communicate those insights in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.

• This role is Hybrid in downtown Seattle, WA and will require you to be in office 4 days per week.

A day in the life…

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$87,500.00 - $145,500.00 Annual
