Location DescriptionMichael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets.
ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
The Inventory Analyst is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring smooth production, and minimizing costs. Key responsibilities include inventory control, cycle counts, production recording, forecasting, data analysis, vendor management, and process improvement.Skills required include strong analytical abilities, proficiency in data analysis, excellent communication, and experience with inventory management software, preferably SAP, along with advanced Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control: Maintaining and improving inventory by analyzing statistics and determining which products sell well.
- Cycle Counts: Create and complete cycle counts. Investigate all discrepancies and resolve.
- Production Recording: Record completions of process orders for FG and semi-FG.
- Forecasting: Predicting future usage and potential risks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Inventory Reporting: Creating and maintaining inventory reports to track stock levels, usage trends, and other relevant data.
- Vendor Management: Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory.Work with vendors on timely returns of damaged or unusable materials.
- Process Improvement: Developing and implementing strategies to streamline inventory management processes and improve efficiency.
- Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and meet production schedule.
- Safety: Responsibility to comply with safety work rules, as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value.
QualificationsSkills:
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and identify trends.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Inventory Management: Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with inventory management software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools. (Preferable SAP) Advanced excel would be preferred.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
