Job summary

Morton Industries, LLC is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the shipping team. You will play a key role in improving inventory metrics, coordinating with production and purchasing, and ensuring accurate recording of intercompany activities. Qualifications

  • Inventory management experience and ability to analyze inventory and data.
  • Familiarity with coordinating between production, accounts, and purchasing.
  • Ability to work on a shipping team and improve inventory practices.

Responsibilities

  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Inventories materials on work floor.
  • Preforms pre-operational check of equipment, recharges batteries, and replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Maintaining and improving the company’s inventory practices by analyzing inventory, production, and customer order data.
  • Coordinating between production, customer accounts, and purchasing to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Reviewing and correcting bills-of-material to improve inventory systems.
  • Work closely with and assist operations staff to ensure proper recording of intercompany inventory activities.
  • Work closely with operators on the floor to correct and consolidate raw material components and finished goods.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

As part of the shipping team, the Inventory Analyst will perform critical duties to improve a broad range of inventory metrics that contribute to the overall company performance and success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
  • Inventories materials on work floor.
  • Preforms pre-operational check of equipment, recharges batteries, and replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Maintaining and improving the company’s inventory practices by analyzing inventory, production, and customer order data.
  • Coordinating between production, customer accounts, and purchasing to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Reviewing and correcting bills-of-material to improve inventory systems.
