Job summary

Cracker Barrel is seeking a Retail Planning Analyst at our Store Support Center to develop sales forecasts and optimize inventory levels across departments.

You will determine SKU inventory positions, collaborate with buyers and planners, and support replenishment strategies to improve inventory investment. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–4 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in retail planning, allocation, replenishment, inventory management, or related analytical role.
• Experience with forecasting, inventory optimization, or replenishment systems preferred.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing sales, inventory, and demand data to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales forecasts and conduct demand forecast analysis for an assigned group of departments.
• Determine optimal inventory position for each SKU, maximizing inventory; establish safety-stock targets.
• Collaborate on recommendations and adjust forecast and replenishment strategies to optimize inventory investment.
• Optimize inventory flow from distribution center to stores.
• Monitor purchase-order shipping windows and act as primary contact with vendors.
• Work on department-sponsored projects and process improvements.
• Support vendor collaboration on forecast data.
• Execute purchase orders to suppliers based on inventory needs.
