Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Gardena, CA to manage MRP-based transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.

You will research discrepancies, assist with receiving and various inventories, and coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure timely material movement. The role emphasizes detail orientation, data accuracy, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years in inventory control, material handling, shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or related manufacturing environment.
• Experience with an MRP/ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory control transactions in the MRP system.
• Process and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Research inventory transactions and resolve discrepancies in the MRP system.
• Review planning and inventory information to support material availability.
• Assist with receiving, raw material, finished goods, hardware inventories, and internal shop transfers.
• Maintain electronic records and filing systems for inventory and shipping documentation.
• Support packing and shipping activities as workload requires.
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and inventory personnel for timely material movement.
• Follow established inventory control procedures and company policies.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
