Job Overview

Summary/Objective
The Inventory Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the dealership's inventory in the dealership accounting system. Essential Functions

  • Enters all new vehicles into the dealership's accounting system
  • Enters purchased used cars into the dealership's accounting systems and produces checks for payment
  • Reconciles the physical inventory of vehicles to the dealership's book balances
  • Reconciles factory holdbacks
  • Monitors parts and service clearing accounts for balance to be applied to inventory
  • Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the manufacturer
  • Produces reports on the inventory of the dealership according to policy and on request
  • Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean
  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
  • Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policy
  • Attends pertinent training on request
  • Attends company meetings as required
