Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Inventory Accountant I for onsite work in Loveland, CO. The role focuses on daily analysis of gross margin and inventory, working with branch teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely inquiries.

You will perform SOX-related reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations with careful attention to detail. Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in accounting or finance, 0–3 years of experience, and familiarity with ERP systems (PeopleSoft/SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• Daily analysis of gross margin and inventory reports across one region.
• SOX controls and monthly reporting support.
• Journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction reviews with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze gross margin and inventory reports for one region.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers to ensure accurate margin reporting and inventory figures.
• Assist Regional Finance Managers with inventory transactions and inquiries.
• Complete monthly SOX reports to maintain internal controls over inventory cycles.
• Validate inventory adjustments submitted by branches and perform reconciliations.
• Support division personnel with consignment inventory and annual physical counts.
• Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
