Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties and related procedures for cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and right and left heart catheterization with no assistance.
• Performs scrub duties and related procedures for peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance.
• Ability to scrub, gown, glove and set up back table with necessary equipment.
• Records cardiac interventions left heart catheterization and left and right heart catheterization hemodynamics with accuracy. Monitors procedure, and documents inventory used and order of events appropriately in MacLab(tm) event log.
• Maintains ECG set up and rhythm monitoring.
• Maintains basic hemodynamic set up and waveform monitoring.
• Assists in preparation of room with fellow staff members for safe, effective care of patient.
• Performs required checks on all safety equipment.
• Ensures adequate supplies present to perform procedures.
• Transports patients alone or accompanied by a fellow staff member.
