Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus seeks an experienced staff nurse for the intraoperative setting to support patient care across the surgical continuum. The RN will be accountable for nursing practice and may delegate tasks to LPNs and UAPs as per Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

On-call duties require a firm 30-minute response time. The role operates within a 24/7/365 department schedule, with a 40-hour weekly work week in the Surgery Main unit.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• Within 5 years, BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Perform initial and ongoing health status assessments.
• Lead and participate in process improvements to improve clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and supervise staff nurses, LPNs and UAPs.
• Operate within high reliability organization standards focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
