Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgery Main department to provide professional nursing care in an acute hospital setting with on-call requirements and a 30-minute response time.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, delegate tasks per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and participate in process improvements to enhance clinical quality and patient outcomes. Prior intraoperative experience is required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or a multistate compact license.
• BLS certification is required.
• BSN degree required after 5 years of employment.
• Recent experience as a staff nurse in an intraoperative setting (>1 year).

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Perform initial and ongoing health status assessment.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Document planned nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluate responses to interventions and revise plans as needed.
• Leadership - Participate in process improvement for quality, safety and efficiency.
• Operations - Support daily department operations.
